Located towards the south end of Kai Bae Beach, Lonely Beach is a one kilometre stretch of sand which was previously a deserted and secluded backpacker haven. While it is still Koh Chang’s hotspot among backpackers and offers numerous low-cost accommodation options, it now also caters for those who have slightly more sizable budgets, boasting resorts with spacious rooms, first-class facilities and excellent restaurants.
While it may not be as deserted as in years gone by, Lonely Beach is quieter than some of the nearby beaches and offers visitors a peaceful retreat away from the mainstream crowd.
